3rd night of Hanukkah

Our 3rd night of Hanukkah coincided with Sami's 17th Birthday celebration!

I LOVE this picture...check out the Betsy Johnson necklace and matching earrings she got as a birthday present from Mom-Moms! Way to score, Mom-Moms!

Dinner was at Vitos Italian restaraunt - food and company excellente!
Happy Birthday, Sami!

2nd Night of Hanukkah

WOW! You would think she was genuinely surprised!

(You would never know we just bought these I Pod adaptor cords at Best Buy ten minutes earlier!!)

First Night of Hanukkah

Happy Hanukkah!
It still feels a little bit odd to be celebrating the Holidays when it is still 80 degrees + outside! We had a great time...but are missing the Chicago Maidys sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! We were thrilled to speak to Jackson, Taylor and Alexander as their night was unfolding. Even Jazmine seemed to enjoy herself!

Braces Off!

And boy is she excited!

She only had them on for 30 months....MUCH less than both boys!

And.....the only reason she did not get them off 3 months ago was because she followed the orthododontist's instructions to the "tee". If he told her to wear the rubber bands 5 hours a day, 6 days a week...she wore wear them 5 hours a day, 6 days a week. I guess they put in a "margin for error". She ended up over correcting.

Lets just hope that she wears her retainer as diligently. (I think the boys wore their retainer once or twice after their braces came off!)

What a pretty smile...

New Roof - Part III

The roofers started laying down the roof tiles today - I can't believe how great the roof is beginning to look! They spent all day on the roof, and got most of the garage roof area done. Gee, I don't think they will be able to keep their promise and have the roof finished by December 10! But, at this rate, they should be pretty much done by the end of the week! It will be very exciting to finally have all of Hurricane Wilma's damage out of our lives!

My Work "Cubby"

Welcome to my cubby at work - it is decorated for the holidays...do ya think I went overboard a tad bit??
How many Jackson pictures can you count?

The tree atop this quad of cubbies belongs to one of the other gals - can't take credit for it.....even though I DID help decorate it!

New Roof - Part II

Well....they FINALLY got the tiles off of the driveway and onto the roof! YEAH!
But, now we have this GI-NORMOUS dumpster sitting on the driveway, so we still have a parking problem! The roofer swears that the roof should be finished by the 10th of December. We'll see.....

It feels like old times!

When we lived at the Claridge House in Silver Spring, Maryland, I used to decorate the Christmas tree in the lobby EVERY year (from Christmas 1980 to Christmas 1997). I haven't decorated a tree since we moved to Chicago / Boca. I decorated the Christmas tree this year at work, and I must say, it turned out very nice. Our company colors are grey, red, green, and purple (ugh!), and our latest promotion is "We will Rock You" .

All of the company's colors were incorporated into the tree's decorations. The tree topper is actually 3 mousepads that show our theme, hot glued together into a star shape. The purple ornaments look blue, but they ARE purple! I have already received many compliments on this tree!

My boss came to me today with his compliments, and put me in charge of the holiday party. Too funny...
